The past twelve months have been unlike any the UK has seen in recent memory.
In order to limit the spread of COVID-19, the government has urged us to stay at home and only leave the house for essentials like food and healthcare.
As necessary as these measures are, it’s hard not to feel cooped up and restless when you’re stuck at home for weeks on end. The garden has been a welcome lifeline for those lucky enough to have one—a recent survey conducted by composite decking suppliers TimberTech asked ‘How often have you been out in the garden since the COVID-19 outbreak?’, and the majority of respondents (62.5%) answered ‘much more often than before’.
The infographic below shows the responses to this survey in greater detail. The survey received 400 responses from UK residents between 19 November 2020 and 6 January 2021.
